The Various Facilities of UT
Perry-Castañeda Library
I visitied various facilities in UT last week. The first place is the Perry-Castañeda Library. After class, I went to the library, because I had some time before the bus came and The Perry-Castañeda Library(PCL) was the closet library to my class.
I heard that PLC was The University of Texas at Austin's flagship research library serving both campus communities and the greater public. It was really big, actually. There were a lot of places to study and read. Although PLC had 5 floors, I just looked around 2&3 floors, because I didn't have enough time to look around all floors.
There were mainly studying places on the second floor and there were humanities major books on the third floor.
Greogory Gym
I enjoyed the Greogory Gym Tour on last Thursday. I went the Gym with my reading class friend, Cathy. She didn't think to enjoy the tour, but I persuaded her. Finally we enjoyed the tour together.
It was really bigger than I thought. I've been proud that my Korea university gym is not small, but it's much bigger here. There were a lot of courts to play volleyball, basketball and so on, swimming pools, and rock climbing. Even, there were massage rooms in the gym!
Many students were focused on their exercise. Some students were running on the treadmill, the other students were doing a group exercise; for example, basketball, volleyball, badminton and so on. It made me want to exercise.

I completely agree with you! UT Austin has excellent facilities for students. Definitely, students can take advantage of every aspect of the campus in different ways. UT offers an enormous variety of physical and physicological activities and extends different places for chilling, such as Texas Union, gardens, and the library.
ReplyDeleteHi MJ again, hehe. I really like reading your blog. It's very relaxing and it is kind of therapy for me. And I love the pictures that you have been captured every moment.
ReplyDeleteI just found out that there is also have another library called in the Austin as well and it is named after Lyndon B. Johnson which was one of the most powerful presidents in America during the 20th century. He was a brilliant man, he ruled the country through the Great Society, expanding human rights and society. Even though I heard that there are not many "fun" activities here but I think it is also a must try thing in the Austin. And I hope me and you can go to the gym and try various activities here together :)
Hi! I like reading so I am glad to know about the place related to reading. Also this univesity has huge facilities including the library and the gym. So we, students are happy to improve our skills without any barriers. At first, I was surprised to see how big the university is. These aspects are very important for both teachers and students and thanks to these facilities, we can increase our abilities!
ReplyDeleteMinju! I am happy to hear that you could freely enjoyed two facilities in UT Austin last week. I went to see books in downtown too, but I have never visited the library on campus. So I feel to go there during my stay in Austin. And I became really interested in the Gym too. You are close with Cathy. I have been interested in gym for a long time but I have never experiensed yet. This may be a good opportunity of a gym. I hope we can go there together some day!
